An important Polish customer entrusts ITR Recycling Technologies with the renovation of its factory

Another important foreign customer in the recycling and enhancement of metals sector has entrusted ITR Recycling Technologies for the supply of the new plant for the treatment of cans and mixed metals, coming from waste.

The customer’s decision to acquire this new plant essentially derives from the fact that ITR has managed to find a solution that allowed the customer, on the one hand, to expand the portfolio of incoming waste and materials, with products that previously could not manufacture and, on the other hand, to increase the quality and types of incoming material, obtaining a very pure furnace-ready secondary raw material ready to be melted again.
Therefore, this plant has made it possible to strengthen the business, opening up new opportunities both upstream, with greater sources of supply, and downstream, coming to supply different sectors even with very high quality standards.

Today the plant processes different types of materials, which also include those from ferrous collection. This is thanks to the choice of opting for a grinding system with HMS 120 HI hammer mill with 50 kg hammers, specific to guarantee maximum efficiency in the presence of different loads. This machine allows, in fact, to quickly change the configuration of the grids and to store and promptly recall working programs dedicated to the individual materials, according to the production needs of the moment.

In choosing the supplier, the customer aimed to acquire one that demonstrated strong skills in the sector, the quality of listening and understanding his needs and the prompt sharing of information useful to quantify and understand the result on this important investment.

This was also possible thanks to Mr. Salamon, representative of OMAR & ITR group in Poland, who followed the customer throughout the evaluation and purchase process and accompanied him on visits to two important treatment centers: one, specialized in the treatment of cans and the other in the treatment of bulky waste and waste metals. In addition to performance, the customer appreciated the analysis and study carried out together with the ITR technicians, in terms of configuration, which allowed him to minimize the impact of the space occupied on the ground. Although this may at times seem a secondary aspect, the client stressed that it is relevant to facilitate the work and to maintain a good level of efficiency of the department staff.

Investing in this pandemic period has strengthened the relationship with the customer.

Despite the difficulties related to the pandemic period, which also imposed considerable restrictions on travel, the ITR technicians prepared what was necessary to coordinate with the customer’s operators and to complete the installation, starting the plant within the established times.

For the total peace of mind of the customer, the plant was equipped with a remote supervision and management system, so that the ITR technicians could constantly check the correct functioning of the machines and in the event of problems or alarms, support it in real time, without the risk of downtime and inefficiencies.

Being aware of the proximity of one’s partner in times of difficulty represents a great value, combined with the fact that, thanks to the training received by the ITR technicians and the user-friendly conformation of the machines, the customer was able to carry out routine checks and ordinary maintenance operations, (such as greasing and replacing the hammers) in complete autonomy. This is also for the benefit of his income statement!

This positive experience with OMAR & ITR made it want to invest in new projects.

With a view to continuous improvement of processes by the customer and once the benefits have been evaluated with the ITR experts, in terms of enhancement of materials and efficiency, the customer has decided to commission OMAR & ITR also a TSS 180 primary shredder in version hydraulic, for the volumetric reduction of the incoming material. This shredder will allow him, in fact, to better prepare the material, such as bulky waste and metal scrap, before its introduction into the valorization line.

Only by creating circular processes, recovering and enhancing end-of-life products and waste, to recreate sustainable resources, will we be able to give continuity, not only to the business but to the world we live in and to the future of the next generations.
